The Arizona Renaissance Festival was amazing.
Introduced in 1989, the Arizona Renaissance Festival is home to 16 open air stages filled with music, dance, and comedy, a 50-acre Artisan Marketplace and a Tournament Arena for jousting knights on noble steeds.
Endless entertainments, great food, and shopping are found around every turn and path in the Festival Village of Fairhaven.
Some of the entertainment included The Jousters, The Wyld Men - A Muddy Comedy Adventure, Don Juan & Miguel, Supernova the Strongwoman, Barely Balanced, Drum Jam, The Ancient Art of Falconry, Puppies of Penzance - The Pirate Pups, The Ded Bob Sho, Tortuga Twins, Lynx's Comedy Sword Swallowing Show, The Sea Fairies - The Living Mermaids, and many, many more.
Games of skill!
Test your abilities at the Festival's many games: target-shooting with bow or crossbow, storming the castle in a paintball battle, or throw a tomato at an insulting peasant at Vegetable Justice. For those patrons in the mood for an extreme challenge you can test your physical mettle at the Climbing Tower or show your warrior side throwing a battle axe.

Village Marketplace and Artisans!
Mix foolish pleasures with artisan treasures! The village marketplace has over 200 elaborately adorned shops offering an array of goods. Find unique hand made items such as blown glass, premium leather goods, and jewelry. Watch artisans work as they create a masterpiece right before your eyes!
Our Marketplace features over 200 artisans displaying a variety of unique, hand-made wares. Watch as the ancient skills of glassblowing, leatherwork, weaving, woodcarving, blacksmithing, candlemaking and pottery are displayed...IT IS A SHOPPER'S PARADISE!

The Jousters! The Age of Chivalry is Alive!
You will be amazed by the spectacle of two tons of horse, knight, and armor galloping onto the field and preparing to do battle with ten-foot lances. Spectators will revel in the melee of falls, fights, and galloping horses. Cheer for your knight in the 5,000 seat arena of champions as they battle for the highest score in the original sport of Kings!
The Jousters! ignite all the spectacle and pageantry of the chivalric age. Armored knights compete in a three-part jousting tournament in a true test of skill, courage and horsemanship.
Each joust is unique and an authentic quest for victory…until the end of the final joust, where tempers flare and they perform a realistic recreation of a fight to the death!
