Boom Town Jam Partners With Western Wishes To Give Child Battling Life-Threatening Illness a Chance To Meet His Heroes

Boom Town Jam Partners With Western Wishes To Give Child Battling Life-Threatening Illness a Chance To Meet His Heroes While Providing Local Fans With a Unique and Unforgettable Experience

Boom Town Jam Music Festival in Ranger, Texas partnered with Western Wishes to grant a wish to Phillip Dunn, age 8, a child diagnosed with Mitochondiral Myopathy and Autism. Phillip got the chance to meet three-time world champion bull rider, Tuff Hedeman, as well as festival performers, Cody Canada of alternative-country band Cody Canada and the Departed and singer-songwriter Charlie Robison. Event sponsor, Twisted J Apparel, also gave Phillip a basket with t-shirts and gifts from the company. After meeting his heroes, Phillip was pulled on stage to help introduce Shane Smith and the Saints and passed a hat to collect donations. The festival was able to donate this money to Western Wishes. This was Phillip's first pay-it-forward experience with the organization.
