COUNTRY THUNDER ARIZONA GOES GREEN WITH RIGHT AWAY DISPOSAL

Florence, Arizona  Organizers of Country Thunder Arizona (April 7-10, 2016) announced an eco-friendly waste management plan in partnership with Right Away Disposal (RAD), the largest privately owned waste and recycling service provider in Arizona.

"As responsible community members, we must be concerned about the size of our carbon footprint," said Kim Blevins, general manager, Country Thunder music festivals. "When thousands of people descend on a property for any given time, they will generate a great deal of trash. We ask our patrons to recycle and bag their trash throughout their stay with us, but we are extremely fortunate to have RAD as a partner in waste management. Their new facility will ensure that we keep as much waste out of local landfills as possible."

The RAD Recycling Center, a new 30,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility, is equipped to process about 38,000 tons of recyclable material (aluminum, plastic, paper, cardboard and steel) annually, representing the equivalent of 1,900 tractor trailer loads of material that can be diverted from landfills.

"We want to ensure that our customers and municipal partners have a program available to divert and not throw away," said Bart Powell, Managing Partner of RAD. "This new recycling system is a fantastic example of RAD's steadfast commitment to using new tools to make our customers and partners more economically efficient and friendly to the environment. It's also a facility that will allow us to expand our current service area."

Festival organizers strive to minimize the event's eco-footprint every year, and are excited to take a giant step forward with an event-wide recycling initiative. Patrons will be provided with complimentary bags in which to deposit recyclables and trash, and recycling bins will be found throughout the concert area.

Country Thunder Arizona will be held from April 7-10, 2016 featuring Eric Church, Florida Georgia Line, Jake Owen, Kip Moore, and many more. Four-day tickets are still available for $190; one day tickets are available for $75. Patrons can also save UP to $30 at local Walgreens locations.
