DIERKS BENTLEY UNVEILS BLACK SHORT FILM SERIES IN BI-WEEKLY INSTALLMENTS LAUNCHING TODAY EXCLUSIVELY WITH ROLLING STONE

"I'll Be The Moon" Catapults Pre-order Today for Bentley's Eighth Studio Album Out May 27th

Following this week's announcement of his eighth studio album BLACK (Capitol Records Nashville), PLATINUM singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley exposes plans for a short film series based on several of the album's songs and premiering today exclusively through Rolling Stone. Set to the track of "I'll Be The Moon" (featuring Maren Morris), Bentley teams with longtime director Wes Edwards to bare the first listen of new music in Episode 1. The modern day film noir establishes a love triangle guided by the destructive power of steamy secrets. Also beginning today, iTunes will mirror the series by offering instant downloads of each episode's featured track from BLACK.

"'I'll Be The Moon' is a pivotal part of the flow of this record and is where the storyline of the couple in this series begins," said Bentley. "We first recorded it just me, but the song looks at a relationship from a different angle, where the girl is instigating the deceit. So, I felt like it needed a female voice, and I started to hear it more as a duet. I love the perspective Maren adds, there's weight to her voice."

The forthcoming album's lead single "Somewhere On A Beach" continues to breeze up the radio charts in the Top 10 as the fastest moving single of Bentley's career. This weekend, he prepares for his first-ever co-hosting duties at the 51st Annual ACM Awards this Sunday (4/3) at 7:00P CT on CBS, where he is also nominated for "Male Vocalist of The Year" and "Video of The Year." The "format superstar" (Entertainment Weekly) will set sail on his 2016 SOMEWHERE ON A BEACH TOUR with Randy Houser, Cam and Tucker Beathard beginning May 12 in Holmdel, NJ, following a string of dates overseas this month.
